Want to increase chances to get pregnant ... sure, but how? Having trouble conceiving? Why else would you be trying everything anybody says to help increase chances to get pregnant? Of course it's hard getting pregnant with endometriosis. Painful intercourse isn't something you look forward to.
The Things " They" say.
- it takes 6 - 12 months of trying before you should even consider worrying
- chart your periods and ovalation - you have to "hit" the right days
- chart your Basal temperature to be extra sure
- keep it fun - don't let it turn into a mechanical process or chore
- if your periods are regular, then everything is fine - it takes time
Do They understand the feelings of frustration and worry when you do everything you can to help increase chances to get pregnant, and nothing seems to help? Do They understand the dread of thinking something serious might be wrong, or that time is running out? Do They agonize over the thought - "Is it me ... or him?" Do They have to try getting pregnant with endometriosis? Painful intercourse can make it a test of endurance instead of an act of love.
Forget "Them." There are a lot of reasons you are having trouble conceiving, some are common and easy to spot, and some take extensive testing to find. Besides the obvious ones: not having sex at the optimum times, and not allowing enough time after stopping birth control, here are the most common reasons most women have trouble conceiving.
- you have endometriosis - painful intercourse is only one sympton
- you have Uterine Fibroids or Tubal obstructions
- you may have "Lazy" Ovaries, or Ovarian Cysts
- you are in your late child bearing years - 35 and older
There are, however, some basic "first steps" you can take to make sure your efforts to get pregnant have the best chances of success. You can help increase chances to get pregnant with these basics.
- eat healthy food - give your body the "right" nourishments, not a lot of Micky D's
- Stop Smoking - it affects a lot more than just your lungs
- work towards a healthy life-style - plenty of rest & exercise, and a reasonably normal wake/sleep cycle
- determine your optimum ovulation days - you can guess why
- sex at least 2 - 3 times a week, at least
- missionary position - works best for law of gravity, and the way your body is put together
- don't jump right up after intercourse, enjoy the snuggle time - it gives the fluids time to continue moving in the right directions
If you have done all the above to help increase your chances to get pregnant, and are still having problems conceiving, it's time for the doctors. There is a standard battery of tests they can do, and even some non-standard pregnancy tests they may suggest, but this is your next step.
But before you commit to any drug treatment or consider any medical surgery, make sure you are comfortable with your choice. These aren't the only options. As much as people "pooh-pooh" old-time remedies, and methods other than "modern medicine", you should at least check out some of the Holistic and Natural methods used to increase chances to get pregnant. They are still talked about, and used, because they have been around for centuries. People just stopped using them because "modern medicine" promises it has all the best answers.
Even the Chinese have a tradition of ancient fertility methods they still believe in today.
One of these methods might work for you if you have tried everything else. what could it hurt to check them out, to see if they can increase chances to get pregnant, or help solve your problems conceiving before you commit to risky drugs or surgery?

GA,I enjoyed your article because it was packed with some very valuable information. Of course, as The Voice Lady, I must add my 2 cents. The stress over not being able to conceive makes conception less likely. If these women would learn to breathe properly with support, they could alleviate much of their stress and increase their odds. I remember when my stress held off my periods. Wish I had known about breathing in those days!Your "2 cents" is very correct. Stress has been identified as just as big an inhibitor to getting pregnant as many other medical reasons.
